A Frank Review of My Top 6 Blushes choose this Summer!

MAKE ‘EM BLUSH WITH THESE AMAZING SPRINGTIME BLSUHES!

Okay, so coral toned blushes might just be my obsession. In fact, if you look into my makeup collection, you may find that I have almost no blushes that aren’t some version of coral. However, this shameful fact can be redeemed by the indisputable reality that coral colored blush is pretty much the best shade of blush, so if you just have to have one of any colored makeup product, a nice coral is probably what you want.

Even though coral blushes definitely dominate my collection, I do have a couple others that I cherish, including a couple fuschias, powder pinks, and some pinks that are so bright they almost run neon (what can I say, I’m a fan of bright blushes!?).

As Spring is here and our inner colorful beauty lovers are spreading their wings, I thought I would share the best bright blushes out there right now. I guess it goes without saying that if you’re searching for a dupe for Benefit’s Dandelion blush, this one isn’t for you.

1.MILK MAKEUP’S “PERK”

This is a glossy, very youthful blush shade that runs a little more pink than coral, and while it looks very pigmented on the outside, don’t fear - it’s actually a pretty dewey, buildable cheek product.

2. CLE’S MELTING LIP POWDER IN BLUSHING PEACH

The name says it’s “peach” -- hmm, I’d like to speak to the manager, please. It’s definitely more of a true orange to me. And while they named it the “lip powder,” they actually specify that it is for both the lips and cheeks. By the way, don’t. Put. This. Near. Your. Lips. They will crumple up, dehydrate, and flake right off.

3. GLOSSIER’S CLOUD PAINT IN PUFF

This is the perfect powder pink, and it’s an easy, blendable formula. The packaging is cute too *winky face*. Just be careful; the product comes out of the tube pretty fast.

4. CORALISTA BLUSH BY BENEFIT

This blush is pretty much a powder form of Milk Makeup’s Perk, but that doesn’t make it any less eye catchingly beautiful.

5. TOPSHOP BLUSH IN FLUSH

Boy, is this a flush of color. In no universe would this blush be considered sheer; it’s a hot pink-fuschia hybrid that will look best on medium to darker skin tones.

6. NO. 7 BLUSH POP & GLOW

This is truly a “pop.” Bordering neon pink, your cheeks will be a radiant, cool toned bright pink. Just make sure to use your finger when applying this one, dabbing and rubbing it into your cheek.

7. CHARLOTTE TILBURY’S BEACH STICK IN FORMEN TERRA

Okay. So I knew I said this recommendation list is just for brights, but as it’s Spring, I felt the compulsion to  dd a floral, rose-toned blush to the mix. This one looks like a very deep red in the stick, but watching it on your arm will prove that it’s medium-sheer and will build nicely, if that’s what you want. Plus, it smells amazing.

Bonus Tip: It’s so much fun to mix your blushes. You can just mix them on the back of your hand and dab them on your cheeks, or if you’re craving a little more fun, you can scrape out a bit of product into your own old eyeshadow pans or containers and create your own incredible blush shade!
